Ten nerdy cross-stitch patterns under $5!

Ahh, cross-stitching – it’s one of my favorite hobbies, especially when combined with nerdy stuff. There are lots of nerdy cross-stitch patterns out there, for almost any fandom you can think of! While I’ve done free cross-stitch pattern collections in the past, today’s post features inexpensive patterns available on Etsy. In fact, each pattern here costs less than $5.00! All of these nerdy patterns are available digitally, so you can buy one, run off to your local craft store and get supplies, and get stitching right away!

This pattern is simple and pretty, and looks like it would be good for a beginner at cross-stitch. Plus, it’s Zelda-themed!

For those who need a little bit more Klingon in their lives, here’s a pattern for you. Complete with bat’leth and two Klingon birds-of-prey, this makes for a most honorable cross-stitch sampler.

I like how the designer managed to capture so many elements from all the movies into a rather minimalist pattern. I’m half tempted to snag this pattern and make it for my friend Rachel, who’s a huge Marvel Cinematic Universe fan!

Sometimes, you just need a nerdy way to show someone you love them. This pattern does just that, in a really cute way.

Visit Mordor Cross-Stitch Pattern

I love this nerdy take on travel posters! While I don’t know that I’d ever want to actually visit Mordor, I certainly wouldn’t mind making this Visit Mordor cross-stitch!

Hoarding Book Dragon Cross-Stitch Pattern

We all know a book dragon or two. Maybe you’re the book dragon. Either way, this would be a cute pattern to make for the book dragon in your life!

Monty Python and the Holy Grail Taunt Cross-Stitch Pattern

It’s not a collection of nerdy cross-stitch patterns without at least one Monty Python pattern in it! I like this one, it looks rather easy to do and would look at home in anyone’s office or living room.

Elemental Pikachu Cross-Stitch

There are a bunch of variations on this theme that I’ve found on Etsy, but since Pikachu’s my favorite Pokemon, I picked this pattern to include.  I like this theme, and it’d be cool to make a couple other Pokemon from this set and have a series of them hanging in your living room or hallway.

Nobody Exists on Purpose Cross-Stitch Pattern

Cross-stitch pattern with the following quote from Rick and Morty: Nobody exists on purpose. Nobody belongs anywhere. Everybody's gonna die.

And for the grand finale, I found a Rick and Morty quote pattern that looks really well-done. (Yeah, the quote is a little dark, but then again, Rick and Morty can get kinda dark sometimes.)
